Job Description

This system treats water coming from a small community well system servicing about 10 homes.  The water source was found to elevated levels of uranium in water complicated by the presence of iron in the water.   First the iron must be removed as its a nuisance on its own but more importantly it would foul the special uranium anion exchange resin.  Once the water is pre-treated for iron it enters a special type of water softener to remove the uranium the through a process called ion exchange.  This system also utilizes a special no-raw-water bypass device that prevents untreated water from passing downstream into the house when the system in regenerating.
